The Buffalo Zoo welcomed a female red panda cub born on June 15 to parents Himalaya and Mogwai, but the newborn required intensive hand-rearing and round-the-clock care due to her mother's youth and inexperience. Zoo staff bottle-fed the cub every four hours with special formula and provided 24/7 supervision to ensure her survival during the critical early weeks.
