...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL IMPACT NORTHEASTERN AUSTIN...SOUTHERN GRIMES...SOUTHEASTERN BURLESON...SOUTH CENTRAL BRAZOS...EASTERN WASHINGTON...WESTERN MONTGOMERY...WALLER AND NORTHWESTERN HARRIS COUNTIES THROUGH 130 AM CDT... At 1224 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along a line extending from near Millican to 7 miles northeast of Bellville to 7 miles southeast of Eagle Lake. Movement was east at 25 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Locations impacted include... Hempstead, Prairie View, Bellville, Washington, Hockley, Waller, Pine Island, Millican, Todd Mission, Monaville, and Independence. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways. Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms. Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm.
